Aidan graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2003 with a first class honors Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. After a period in general practice he returned to the University Veterinary Hospital UCD to undertake an ECVS residency in small animal surgery. Following his training he moved to Davies Veterinary Specialists in Hertfordshire, UK. As part of the team there he managed a busy and challenging soft tissue and emergency caseload. After an enjoyable three years he was lured back home and rejoined the faculty at UCD in 2012 as a lecturer and clinician in small animal surgery. Aidan holds the RCVS certificate and the ECVS diploma and is a European Specialist in small animal surgery. He maintains a strong interest in all aspects of surgery and is actively involved in undergraduate teaching, resident training and provision of CPD. In addition to his clinical work he is currently completing a MSc in Oncology at the University of Birmingham.
