Annual Membership Subscription Details as agreed at the 2021 AGM. – Membership runs from AGM to AGM (January to January). – Being employed by a member practice does not signify membership of AVSPNI – only named vets listed on your most recent Data Capture Form are AVSPNI members under the practice scheme. – Subscriptions will be collected by DD, normally soon after the Data Capture Form return date, 31st March. – The amount collected will be based on the Data Capture Form supplied by your practice. Fees are generally collected on a practice/place of work basis but individual vets are welcomed as members too. – Subs are VAT exempt. Fees – for Data Capture Forms received by 31st March The subscription fee for membership, for the first or only vet is £135. The fee for each subsequent vet in a practice is reduced by £6.50, decreasing by this amount vet by vet. For larger practices (12+ vets) subsequent vets (vet number 13, 14, 15 etc.) will be charged at £63.50 each. Fees – Late Payment, Late Return of this Data Capture Form, cheque payers Cheque payment option is not available to new members. The fee for membership for the first or only vet is £150. The fee for each subsequent vet in a practice is reduced by £6.50, decreasing by this amount vet by vet. For larger practices (12+ vets) subsequent vets (vet number 13, 14, 15 etc.) will be charged at £78.50 each. These rates also apply for failed DD collections due to incorrect bank details being supplied. |
For practice membership The amount due relates to the list of named vets eligible for AVSPNI benefits (free access to meetings, discount at Conference etc.) You MUST list your CURRENT staff and notify us of any staff changes at any time during each year. You will be sent a Data Capture Form (similar to this one) in the first quarter of each year so that you can review your listed members. MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES Practice – offers discounted price for 2 or more vets paying on a single DD mandate or by single BACS transfer and gives Full Membership rights to the named vets. Full Membership (individual) – for those in practice only and for all named vets on a Practice membership form. CPD programme at members’ rates. Newsletters, updates and representation plus eligible to sit on AVSPNI Council. Associate Membership – this will allow vets working in areas other than practice (e.g. AFBI, DAERA, pharma companies) or those registered with VCI rather than RCVS to avail of the full AVSPNI CPD programme at members’ rates. Associate members do not receive Newlsetters and are not eleigible to attend AVSPNI Business Meetings (where AVSPNI policy is formed/ratified) or sit on AVSPNI Council. Retired – for those who were previously Full Members but who have now retired from practice and are no longer listed as practising on the RCVS register. Discounted membership rates apply. |
