The award was founded in 1982 to encourage practitioners to further their expertise in their chosen discipline or
project. In addition to the main award there is a £25 Book or CD Rom token for all applicants.

Applicants must be veterinary surgeons in full time practice
in Northern Ireland

Successful shortlisted entrants will be expected to present
a paper for publication and/or a lecture at a venue determined by the selection panel
