Changes to the Administration of the DAERA EU Pet Passport Scheme – LOOK OUT FOR THE LETTER!

October 30, 2018 By Jo-VetNI

DAERA are preparing to implement changes to the administration of the EU Pet Passport Scheme with effect from Monday 7 January 2019.  To assist with the preparations for this change, eligible Veterinary Practices in Northern Ireland, i.e. those with an Authorised Veterinary Inspector (AVI) approved for certification of Pets are now being invited to apply to DAERA to register their intention to continue to supply Pet Passports.  Your practice should receive a letter this week outlining the process and what you have to do to ensure that your practice is involved. The deadline for responses is 16 November 2018. If no response is received by this date, it will be assumed that your practice does not wish to participate in this scheme.

If you believe you are eligible and don’t receive or can’t find your letter, drop tradeadminpost@daera-ni.gov.uk a line as soon as possible.
